Audio visual

My humble journey as an audio-visual artist stared when I was motivated to get back into the Processing programming language. The Processing framework is a javascript framework that optimizes for fast and simple development of visualizations. It has many different simple drawing functions allowing you to quickly get something up and running.

Later, after discovering TouchDesign for a university related projects, I was able to create the following art project:

‘AV-IR’ is a music reactive audio installation controlled by you dusty TV remote. The operations controlled by the TV remote can be configured in the software, then you can lean back and control which song is played and how it influences the projection (e.g. flickering, contrast, colors, effects, etc…)

I also experimented with projection mapping, using a cheap secondhand projector, using touchdesigner is was able to map visualizations to parts of my room, as seen below.

Using a webcam I could emulate an analog feedback system, inspired by old school video mixers like here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEm-yoVPurw
