Working with Eindhoven based design company Bureau Moeilijke Dingen as a client we were challenged to create a unconventional musical instrument, avoiding overused components like buttons and sliders.
Implementation
TouchDesign, which I was familiar with when I created audio-visual art, was able to connect together the VST plugin for the sound generation, the distance-measurement sensors and the custom interface.
The ESP32 utilized the onboard wifi module to remotely send the measured distances to TouchDesigner.
